In this issue, we celebrate Christian generosity, which our Lord Jesus Christ modelled for us: From the feeding of the 5000 and 4000, to His giving us the greatest loving gift of all, laying down His life for us, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin, but would now have the opportunity to become children of God.
Let us too give the greatest gift, the knowledge of the Good News of the Messiah, along with the resources through which the Body of Christ can fulfill the Great Commission.
We trust that you will enjoy reading about generous Christians and the gathering of Christian leaders who emphasize the importance of giving, in this newsletter.

Collaborate to Saturate Roundtable Meeting
TEASA’s Missions Commission invites you to the Collaborate to Saturate Roundtable Meeting on Tuesday, 17 September from 9:00-16:00 at BIMS Conference Centre, 1 Bethia St, Germiston near ORT.
The purpose of this event is to hear what various organizations are doing regarding church planting/disciple-making multiplication and identify specific ways to collaborate toward the saturation of Southern Africa with healthy disciple-making communities.

To be a Christian is a choice. It’s a lifestyle and a process of every day picking up one’s cross and following the Lord Jesus Christ on the path of righteousness. To many observers, Christianity looks like a Sunday-only activity. Even many committed Christians remain mystified as to how to live their lives as a daily sacrifice to the Lord our God.
Teresa Conradie is an example of active Christianity, showing us that everything we do in our professional or personal lives, can be consecrated in the service of The Prince of Peace.
West Papua: A Macedonian Call
In June 2024, TESA General Secretary, Reverend Moss Ntlha travelled to the Pacific nation of West Papua in response to a macedonian call issued by the Evangelical Church of Indonesia, Gereja Injili Di Indonesia (GIDI) – in the West Papuan language.
Previously a Dutch colony, West Papua remained under Dutch control until 1962 when it was annexed by Indonesia, which itself became an independent nation-state in 1949. Ever since, West Papuans have struggled for their freedom.
Operation Mobilisation and Logos Hope
The Logo Hope Ship is a ministerial compnent of Operation Mobilisation (OM), an international mission organisation consisting of 5000 people working in 147 countries and having two ships: the Logo Hope and the Dolos Hope.
The Logos Hope has recently been in South Africa and was the venue of the Generosity Breakfast, for which TEASA participated in coordinating.
The vision of the Logos Hope is to bring knowledge, help, and hope to communities around the world.
The Generosity Breakfast
On the 21st of June 2024, various organisations attended the World Evangelical Alliance’s (WEA) Global Generosity Network’s Generosity Breakfast on Operation Mobilsation’s (OM) ship, the Logos Hope, as it stopped in port at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
The Global Generosity Network is an initiative that facilitates stewardship, generosity, giving and fund mobilisation among Christians.
TEASA is one of 6 collaborating partners that put on the event. Ninety Christian leaders were inspired and challenged to confront the pertinent question: how can we foster a culture of generosity within the South African church?
Marriage Officer Training and Licensing
In October 2023, TEASA arranged a meeting between the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) and its member denominational and church leaders to discuss the challenges the latter faces when interfacing with the DHA, particularly in the matter of officiating marriages and attaining marriage certificates for the newly-wed.
At this meeting, the DHA committed to alleviating the administrative and communications backlogs within the Department that have led to the difficulties experienced by the Christian leaders. TEASA has requested the DHA to provide TEASA church members with training and certification that will enable them to officiate marriages and issue marriage licenses.
TEASA would like to invite all interested pastors to register for this training before 30 Sept 2024 by filling out the Google form found at this link.

Women’s Month Reflection on the
Magnificat of Mother Mary the
Holy Virgin
As we reflect on Women’s Month, we meditate on the Magnificat of Mother Mary The Holy Virgin, wherein she poured out heartfelt praise to God, who had shown favour to her. Because of this great favour, wherein The Lord God chose her to be the bearer of His Only Begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, she declared that throughout the generations, people would call her blessed.
Through elevating her to this high position, God showed that He cares for both men and women equally and that we all have the opportunity to be bearers of God.
Her obedience to God, is the supreme example of the obedience we should strive to give to God. Mary lovingly gave her entire being to God, in loving service to His Will.
